Chiara Magnani

Freelance illustrator from Bologna, Italy.
Bachelor Degree in Illustration and Comics, Master degree in Editorial Illustration, both obtained at the Academy of Fine Arts of Bologna.
During the last two years of my studies I explored the language of illustration for children and adults, both in the field of fiction and non-fiction (scientific and educational illustration).
I'm specialized in tradional media, especially gouache, acrylic and collage.

Exhibitions and art contests

•Selected for the Livio Sossi contest of Lucca Comics and Games 2021.
•Selected and published in the 2023 calendar "A year without violence", born from the collaboration between the Academy of Fine Arts of Bologna and Mondo Donna Onlus association.
•Selected at the 2023 Tapirulan Association contest (Cremona); subsequently the illustration was exhibited at Castello d'Albertis in Genoa.
•Selected and exhibited at Vignola in 2024 during the “Illustrated poetry” contest organized by the Betty B Festival of Comics and Images.
